Shelby is a poet, essayist, and emerging educator. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Chatham University, where she received the award of “Best Thesis in Poetry” for her manuscript rage is a butcher.

Shelby is a multi-hyphenate artist from Central Pennsylvania. She is a trained singer and actor, who also holds a B.A. in English from Clarion University.
